~How to make TASSELS~

MATERIALS:
A Square of Cardboard (approx. 2.5x3.5 inches)
Cording (yarn, thread, etc- about 3,5 yards)
Clamps (binder clips or clothes pins work well)
Fray Check or clear nail polish
Scissors

1. Cut a 10 inch piece of cord and clamp it along the shorter end of the cardboard with excess hanging over both sides.

2. Wrap cord around the cardboard the long away approximately 15-25 times (depending on thickness of cord and how fluffy of a tassel you want.) Include the ten inch cord as you wrap.

3. Tie the top 10 inch cord together in a double knot and secure with a dot of fray check or nail polish.

4. Gently slide cords off of cardboard.

5. Cut a 10 inch piece of cord. Wrap it around tassel about 1 inch from the top several times and tie with a double knot. Secure knot with fray check or nail polish.

6.Cut through the loops on the end and trim to desired length.

7. Tie top cord together to form loop if desired.
